Putting Your Home Safe to the Voice

Objective

Alexa, good night

  • Alexa reports an unclosed shutter, an open … garage
  • Alexa answers a nice phrase wishing you good night
  • The house is safe

Method used

  • to keep the house safe, I use a Jeedom Scenario check that the shutters are closed, that the garage has not remained open, that the front door is locked … and then activate a check that nothing opens while sleeping. This scenario is not the subject of this tutorial.
  • one routine Alexa (programmed on the Amazon server via the internet or the Alexa app) will be triggered
  • one Alexa plugin scene launch the scenario presented in the first paragraph

The aim here is to use an Alexa routine and then a scene from the Alexa plugin and then a screenplay. Read More

Switch Jeedom to https

Explanations, prerequisites

In this feedback, I use my DNS Reverse from Free. I imagine it is even easier to use a domain name, but with the functionality offered by Free, the domain is not indispensable.

In the rest of this page, I will use the following reverse DNS: sigalou.hd.free.fr. Please note that this name is an example and does not exist; For security reasons, I do not give here the reverse DNS that I actually use.

I have 3 Jeedoms installed on my local network:

  • Jeedom Master in 192.168.0.100 (the main production Jeedom)
  • Jeedom Slave in 192.168.0.21 (the Secondary Jeedom of Development)
  • Jeedom Heating in 192.168.0.150 (a Jeedom dedicated to heating)
