• Alexa turns off the living room

Equipment used

• one Sonoff DIY Mini behind the living room switch
• integration into Jeedom through the plugin Sonoff DIY

Note that any home automation equipment would do the trick from the moment you have an On order and an Off order available in Jeedom.

Give a Generic Type to Your Orders

This is mandatory for the Alexa plugin to detect the function to perform.

You must go to the On command and the Off command to specify a generic Type, as in the screenshot below.

• On the order: Light Button On
• On the Off order: Light Button Off

Add living room switch equipment in Alexa

This step will make the link with the Amazon server

On the Equipment tab, tick Transmit, specify the type Light put a Pseudo (living room in the example) and Save.

Detect equipment in Alexa

In the Alexa app on the phone or on https://alexa.amazon.fr

Connected home then Detect

Result

The living room can turn on or off by voice
