I'm testing the Zigbee Thermometer TH05Z [Failed]

Where to buy this equipment?

On the date of writing of this Retex:

I add batteries

This thermometer uses 3 AAA batteries not supplied

I integrate this box with Zigbee2MQTT

I switch Zigbee2MQTT to pairing mode and plug in the last stack.

When connecting the battery, the temperature is displayed on the thermometer screen, it is just right.

The pairing starts…

My test stops there, we will have to wait until this thermometer is integrated into Zigbee2MQTT…

It remains a beautiful product, well finished, but if we want to integrate it, we will have to go through Tuya and not Zigbee2MQTT directly, which I refuse to do.

I'm testing the Zigbee Thermometer ZTH05

I check the received model

Attention, potential scam, voluntary or not, we sometimes find sites that sell versions very close in terms of references, but this is not the version we want, if you find versions Zigbee has less than 5 €, distrust!

The version I ordered and tested is the last column.

I note that in the received model, the stack is well included.

I note that it is specified: Zigbee (Tuya Only), I hope Zigbee2MQTT works with, I will check this immediately. Read More

Do I put a Zigbee thermometer in the freezer? (Woox R7048)

Migration of Oregon Scientific thermometers to the Zigbee: my experience with the Woox R7048

For more than 10 years, I had been using Oregon Scientific thermometers, equipment of remarkable reliability: no failure, batteries that last for years, and a 433 MHz transmission via an RFXCom. However, I decided to gradually migrate my entire system to Zigbee to simplify and modernise my home automation installation. Read More

I'm testing the Smart Switch ZG-005-RF

Zigbee 4-channel dry contacts are an advantageous replacement for Sonoff modules. This ZG-005-RF case offers 4 NO/NC outputs that can be controlled via Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant. Discover my complete test to order lights, valves or gates in home automation.

The dry contacts (potential free) are essential in home automation. They make it possible to control any electrical appliance without supplying any voltage themselves. The current only passes when the contact closes, making this type of module universal and secure.

I tested this Zigbee module purchased with my own funds. No sponsorship, just realistic tests.

This housing supports a voltage of up to 240V maximum. Maximum load: 10A per channel (2200W to 220V resistive), limited to 220W with LED. Total 16A for all 4 channels combined.

I am testing the ZIGBEE bulbs from OSRAM Smart+: awesome!!!

I dreamed of it, Osram did it!

If you are like me, when you buy LED bulbs, you fight with the labels to understand if it is warm white, cold white, what intensity corresponds to how many watts on … incandescent bulbs in short, an adventure each time, and inevitably a few misses on the power of the kid’s chevée lamp or on the wrong range of white that is not the same as the neighboring bulb bought last year …

In short!! This is a great product. I can choose the intensity, the temperature (cold/hot) and even flash it. All in Zigbee! Magical. Finally, it should be noted that it is: energy class A+. Read More

Sigalou Farmhouse

Garage vacuum (or garage vacuum) in progress …

On this page, two types of products. Either products that I no longer use or new products (mainly in Zigbee).

Indeed, when I do tests to feed this blog, I order lots to lower the unit price. I keep the equipment in prod at home somewhere to check its lifespan and I resell the rest of the lot at cost price, which makes it possible to benefit the home automation community at a lower price. You have therefore understood that the price is not negotiable, even in lots.

Sometimes there are price variations after product launches. I do not change the price, I actually resell on my purchase price. If the price goes up, so much the better for you, if the price goes down, so much the worse for me, I may not sell it, but I keep my buying price logic and the products remain in my personal stock.

I can be reached on the Jeedom and HA-CF forums or on Viber, Discord, Slack and primarily via the contact form.

All shipments are made at your expense via Mondial Relais, which is the most economical (from €4.10), here are the prices:

Automate Hall Light

On this article, I will automate with a presence detector the lights of the hall.

To be very honest, I have been looking for several weeks for a Zigbee Presence Detector, which I wanted to power in 220v (to benefit from the relay function and not have to manage the batteries). I couldn’t find him. It was by talking to David about Easydomotic that he gave me the combination of the Nodon coupled with a Presence Detector / Congratulations!! Magnificent, I have placed a direct order of the pack it has provided for this purpose.

Of course, as I have to do, I say: if you are not a certified electrician, certified with a thousand very expensive papers and authorisations from independent and very expensive bodies, Do not touch electricity, it is dangerous.
