[Last update 14-03-2026]
On the mermaids market, there are few models in Zigbee and no model is particularly recognised for its integration or simplicity. I wanted to run a test. Today I can offer you a test of 7 Zigbee sirens that currently occupy the home automation market.
Each siren has been the subject of a separate RETour of Experience, I invite you to consult them for more details. This table summarises the results:

Conclusion and interpretation of the comparative
Will not be awarded
❌ At the time of creation of this comparison and with a version 1.36.1 of Zigbee2MQTT, the sirens Frient SIRZB-110 and Immax 07504L are eliminated, unrecognized.
❌ The Mermaid Woox R7051 brings nothing more than the siren Neo NAS-AB02B2 and she has far fewer possibilities, I'm not holding her back.
❌ The Mermaid Meian SR01-ZB does not work in case of loss of electricity, this requires me to place it 4th.
🥇Sirène for outdoor
✅ This is the Neo Outer Mermaid NAS-AB06B2 which is first. Simple, easily integrated, with solar charging and pull-out detector, perfect!
It should be noted that I had some problems more than a year after it was installed, but since then I have been able to write: Néo reviews the sealing of its external siren Zigbee NAS-AB06B2
🥇Sirens for interior
✅ My ranking gives the Heimann Indoor Siren MA420-63E and the Inner siren Neo NAS-AB02B2 at the top of the podium. To separate them, it is very simple, it is based on the usefulness:

I will choose without hesitation the Siren Heimann MA420-63E if I need a powerful siren for an intrusion alarm for example. It will have only one sound proposed, no adjustable volume but it will be practical, it will remain in a socket and will be autonomous. The icing on the cake as Zigbee equipment on the mains, it will have the router function and improve the Zigbee network. |

I will choose without hesitation the siren Neo NAS-AB02B2 if I need a multipurpose chime / siren. To inform me that someone has rang the doorbell, to relay a fire alarm or smoke detection, to inform me that my wife is 5 minutes away from home or for a medium power intrusion alarm siren. It is on battery, it will have to be recharged from time to time (to see?) but can be positioned where you want. |
