Perhaps the biggest surprise for me under Home Assistant is the size of the database.
This is a real subject and I started reacting when my base has exceeded 10GB, you have to worry about it, there are recordings that should not be recorded. 😅

But first of all, how do you know the size of your database?
I look directly into his file
This is the classic method of an informed user, I take a look at the file size via a classic tool such as WinSCP.

Of course, it is not very friendly user, I can do better but it is practical.
I display the entity in a map
The information is available in sensor.home_assistant_v2_db_size
Install file size, everything is automatic

With this entity, I display the information and it gives the size of the base, obviously it can be customized.

I question the database
Of course, you don’t have to install it just for that, but I take advantage of this tutorial to highlight a great integration that displays the SQL information of the database.
As a former PHP/MYSQL developer, I find a little bit of the logic of PhpMyAdmin 😇
I have to install Sqlite web addon
