I then press 5 seconds on the button opposite the LED, the LED flashes blue, the pairing starts. Sensor status, battery and smoke alert are displayed immediately. I cannot guarantee the actual detection of fire without destructive testing \u2026 I will therefore place it next to a detector already in place in the kitchen (the perfect place to test for \u2018real\u2019 smoke detection).
