This ZG-005-RF case offers 4 NO\/NC outputs that can be controlled via Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant. Discover my complete test to order lights, valves or gates in home automation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>dry contacts<\/strong> (potential free) are essential in home automation. They make it possible to control any electrical appliance without supplying any voltage themselves. The current only passes when the contact closes, making this type of module universal and secure.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I tested this Zigbee module purchased with my own funds. No sponsorship, just realistic tests.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This housing supports a voltage of up to 240V maximum. Maximum load: 10A per channel (2200W to 220V resistive), limited to 220W with LED. Total 16A for all 4 channels combined.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I select the right model<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are two versions: ZG-003-RF (7-32V DC) and ZG-005-RF (85-250V AC). Choose according to your available diet. I opted for the ZG-005-RF compatible 220V sector.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both models also accept 5V via micro-USB backup or alternative. Each relay has 3 terminals for maximum flexibility in dry contacts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The terminals of each exit:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>COM<\/strong> : common terminal required for any connection.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>NC<\/strong> : Normally closed. At rest, closed circuit between NC and COM. Ideal for safety (stop if breakdown).<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>NO<\/strong> : Normally open. At rest, open circuit between NO and COM. Activates at command.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When a relay is activated, the NC and NO states are reversed. Transparent integration.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I explore the 3 relay modes<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three physically configurable modes on the housing: Sustained, Impulsion, Exclusive. Tested and confirmed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Standby mode (Self-locking)<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Standard mode. Each independent relay. Activate\/deactivate toggle by command. Perfect for permanent lights or appliances.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pulse mode (Inching)<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Relay activates for 1 second and then deactivates automatically. Ideal for spoilers, gates, watering valves. Duration not adjustable via Zigbee2MQTT.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exclusive Mode (Interlock)<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As maintained but exclusive: a single relay active simultaneously. Activating a new one disables the old one.
